These terms of service ("Terms") govern your use of the Cobudge platform ("Service") operated from Switzerland.
By creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Service Description
Cobudge is a collaborative budget management platform that allows users to track expenses, manage budgets, share costs, and monitor their financial situation. The Service is provided on a freemium basis with optional paid subscriptions.
2. Account Registration
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication for added security.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Use the Service for money laundering, fraud, or any illegal financial activity
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or workspaces
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
- Use automated tools to scrape or collect data from the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
4. Subscriptions and Payments
- Free accounts have feature and usage limitations as described on the pricing page.
- Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service.
- Prices may change with 30 days' notice. Existing subscriptions are honored until renewal.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial periods.
5. Your Data
- You retain full ownership of all data you enter into Cobudge.
- You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
- You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the data you enter.
- You can export your data at any time using the built-in export features.
- Upon account deletion, your data is permanently removed within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements.
6. Data Accuracy Disclaimer
Cobudge provides tools for financial tracking and budget management. The Service is not a substitute for professional financial advice. Exchange rates and calculations are provided for informational purposes and may not reflect real-time market rates. We do not guarantee the accuracy of automatically imported or converted data.
7. Service Availability
- We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
- We may perform maintenance with reasonable advance notice when possible.
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
8. Intellectual Property
- The Cobudge platform, including its design, code, and documentation, is protected by intellectual property laws.
- Your use of the Service does not grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond what is necessary to use the Service.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Swiss law:
- The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
- Our total liability for any claims related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Account Suspension and Termination
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
- We may suspend accounts involved in suspicious or fraudulent activity.
- Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
- We will provide you with an opportunity to export your data before permanent deletion, unless prohibited by law.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland. Any disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Canton of Zurich, Switzerland.
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the platform at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
